Making Sense

Making Sense: A Rwandan Story is a moving exhibition of paintings, poems and music inspired by the artist Helen Wilson a made visit to Rwanda in 2002. The new work shows the beauty of Rwanda and the resilience of its people in the aftermath of a genocide that claimed the lives of one million people in 100 days.

The exhibition “Making Sense” is planned as one of the events for the New England ( Boston and surroundings) 10th Anniversary Commemoration of the Genocide in Rwanda.

Making Sense is a Rwandan story that comprise of twelve large sacle paintings. The paintings share a moving story of courage. dignity and survival of Rwandan people.

Hellen Wilson has been painting images of Rwanda since the 1994 Genocide.

The exhibition is supplemented a documentary film that has been produced by award winning cameraman Mike Fox and BBC director Kate Broome.
