1) Films on Youth by Youth (FY2)

From the 15th to the 25th February 2007, RWANDA CINEMA CENTRE, in collaboration with the USA EMBASSY, will conduct the
third FY² Training Programme that will provide twenty young aspiring filmmakers with professional intensive training and
production resources in the comedy genre.

The Rwanda Cinema Center in collaboration with the Swedish Institute, has trained over 40 young filmmakers for the last 3
years. The FY² Training Program provides young aspiring filmmakers with professional training and production resources to
help them hone their storytelling skills and articulate their visions.

2) Rwanda Film Festival: March 16th through March 30th each year ( www.rwandafilmfestival.org )

2005 Festival’s theme was “Regional Cooperation for Audiovisual Excellence in Central and East Africa”
The Rwanda Hillywood Program (Films in the Hills) was held from March 17th to the 22nd, 2005 in 5 rural provinces: Kibuye,
Ruhengeli, Kibungo, Umutara and Butare – including refugee camp.
The second part of the festival was held in Kigali the capital, with most of the screenings set at local youth centers and the
headquarters at the French Cultural Center.
For its first edition, the RMFF screened 100 films, Rwandans and Internationals, of all genres and lengths.

The 2006 Film Festival was held at various districts in rural areas and Kigali the capital, following the same venues and spirit of
last year, youth and social issues oriented.

3) Keepers of Memory Foundation
