The best commercials of the 2010s

The 2010s was a great time for advertising, and there were many good commercials released. Here are some of the best ones:

Volvo Trucks – “The Epic Split”

If you were anywhere near the Internet in 2013, then you must have seen the amazing commercial from Volvo, in which Jean Claude Van Dam does an epic split while standing on the outside of cabins between two trucks.

The commercial was made to showcase Volvo’s dynamic steering and the precision and stability it offers. This ad campaign was made by a Swedish agency – Forsman and Bodenfors and it was a major success both in the US and throughout the world. Before this commercial, Volvo had a more traditional approach to marketing, but this time they decided to go with a more ground-breaking approach and the commercial worked like a charm.

Thai Life Insurance – “Unsung Hero”

Thai commercials are often emotional and tell a small story. This heart-warming commercial touched the world and made an impact on people’s lives. It tells a compelling story of the impact a person can make on the world with their actions and it was a major success for the company.

Always – “Like a Girl”

This commercial easily played the heart string of viewers and it became viral shortly after coming out. It wanted to make people aware of some problems we are facing in the area of women’s empowerment. It did that by asking people to do something “like a girl”, to which people started to play into stereotypes of vulnerability and lower capacity. Then it asked young girls o do the same, and they did things the way they usually do – as best as they can. The commercial pointed out how after the ages of 10 or 11, girls start to feel the impact society has on them. – “Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis: President Barack Obama”

This commercial was done by the Funny OR Die advertising agency in 2015, and the goal was to pitch the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare. The commercial is hilarious and it features the President, so it is no wonder that it got many awards and was popular with a lot of people.

Dine with Rana

Maybe one of the best food companies in 2010s.  This commercial has been created to help Rana brand to “conquer” the USA market, which is literally crazy about Italian food.
